JioPhone Next is the latest affordable offering from Reliance Jio. The JioPhone Next arrives as a third device from Jio, as the company had earlier introduced the JioPhone and the JioPhone 2. Jio is marketing the newly introduced JioPhone Next as the most affordable 4G handset in India. The JioPhone Next comes with an old-fashioned boxy design. The device features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that has 720 x 1600 pixels resolution.
Powering the Reliance JioPhone Next under the hood is a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. The phone packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. As for the software, the handset runs Android 11 out of the box. In terms of the optics department, the device features a single 5MP camera at the rear, while at the front the handset sports a 2MP selfie camera. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery. It offers basic connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and microUSB port. The other popular phone from Jio includes the Jio Phone.
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani launched a new smartphone, JioPhone Next, at RIL AGM 2021 event. The device has been developed in partnership with Google and runs an optimised version of Android.
“I am pleased to announce that Google and Jio teams have jointly developed a truly breakthrough smartphone JioPhone Next. It is a fully-featured smartphone supporting the entire suite of applications from both Google and Jio,” Ambani said at the 44th Reliance AGM 2021 event.
“Our teams have optimised a special version of Android specifically for this phone. It is built for India and for users who will experience a smartphone for the first time,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai said.
The latest smartphone from Jio comes with features like voice assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text language translation, smart camera with augmented reality filters, and much more. Users will get an option to change language of the phone’s content with just a tap of a button.

Reliance JioPhone Next price in India is expected to be Rs 4,999. The JioPhone Next launch date in India is 10th September 2021. The device is speculated to come in a Black and Blue colour option.

Reliance JioPhone Next sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that has 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The display panel has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 319PPI. The device has the power button and the volume rocker keys located on the right side. The phone has the Jio logo engraved on the rear side.
