1. iQOO 7 Legend
One glance at the iQoo 7 Legend and it makes quite an impression. The unique colour combination (inspired by BMW’s racecars) not only looks good, but also feels premium with a well-polished metal frame and a matte glass back. The 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display combined with the well-optimised Funtouch OS ensures a fluid software experience. Gaming is handled well with excellent heat management.
No matter which camera you choose, the image quality is quite good. This includes the wide-angle camera, which doubles up as the macro camera and shoots close-ups with excellent detail. Surprisingly, it’s the ultra-wide angle camera that underperforms in low-light shooting conditions. With a relatively small 4,000mAh battery, the iQoo 7 Legend never lasted beyond a day, but with a 66W charging adapter in the box, charging speed was jaw-dropping, going from 0-100 per cent in just 31 minutes.

3. Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is also very slim and light, measuring 7.6mm in thickness and weighing just 173g. The flattened top has a ‘Designed for Reno’ inscription, while the dual-SIM tray, USB Type-C port, and a single speaker are on the bottom. Build quality is also very good, despite this phone having a plastic frame, and the rear cameras barely protrude at all.
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, which is built on a 7nm process featuring four ARM Cortex-A77 and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores. It has an integrated 5G modem and supports wireless connectivity such as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The Reno 5 Pro runs ColorOS 11.1, which is based on Android 11.
I found the display to be excellent. Brightness was more than adequate, and even under sunlight, content was very legible. In the real world, the Reno 5 Pro 5G is able to handle demanding apps and games with relative ease.
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is a good package overall for the price. It has a premium design, a vivid display, long battery life, very fast charging, and fairly competent cameras. Video quality could be improved though, especially in low light, and I would like to see stabilisation at 4K. It wouldn’t have hurt to have stereo speakers either.

The three rear cameras are all practical and deliver great results in the daytime, though the ultra-wide one does suffer a bit at night.
Video and stills both came out looking good, and the camera app offers plenty of modes and settings to experiment with. Battery life is somewhat disappointing but Samsung’s One UI software is quite good and the display is great for videos and games. These are top 5 Mobiles under 25,000
1. OnePlus Nord
The OnePlus Nord is a new budget offering from OnePlus, which manages to deliver a similar Android experience as the OnePlus 8, but at a more affordable price. The SoC used is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, and not an 800-series chip as we’re used to seeing. However, the Nord does support 5G, which is a cool bonus. As an overall package, it’s really hard to find fault with the OnePlus Nord. App and gaming performance is good, it captures good photos and videos in daylight, and the display supports HDR10+.
Low-light image quality suffers a bit, but that’s pretty much this phone’s only major weakness. Battery life is very good and the single speaker gets decently loud. It has a 108-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera that also clicks macros, and a depth sensor. Photos clicked from the Moto G60 were average and not as sharp as some of the other competition in daylight. The ultra-wide angle photos are upscaled to 12-megapixels and had some distortion.
Lowlight photos were also average as the phone failed to get the colour tone right. Night mode does not return a brighter image but fixes the colour tone issue. Motorola ships the Moto G60 with Android 11 with only the Facebook app pre-installed. This is a big plus considering most of the completion has spammy bloatware preinstalled.

Best Mobile Under 15000
The under Rs.15,000 price point is crucial to the Indian smartphone industry since it is accessible to a lot of people. Over the years we have seen multiple manufacturers attempting to capture this segment by offering better cameras, faster processors, and better batteries. In order to be the best in this segment, manufacturers have flooded the sub-Rs. 15,000 price segment with a range of good smartphones.
These are top 5 Mobiles under 15,000
1. Motorola Moto G51
The Moto G51 is Motorola’s budget 5G smartphone and is the second 5G smartphone in the G series after Moto G 5G. Motorola’s budget 5G smartphone may have arrived quite late in 2021, but it has a few things going for it that make it special.
It has a unibody design that’s made of polycarbonate and is quite heavy at 208g, but it also comes with an IP52 rating against dust and water, which the competition does not offer.
Software performance is smooth and fluid and most of this is down to the choice of near-stock Android software, with a few Motorola-specific customisations. The 120Hz high refresh rate display also plays a part in making the software experience appear quite fluid.
Gaming performance is a bit disappointing, and this is an area where the competition performs better. There’s three rear-facing cameras and they do a decent job with daylight photos but perform poorly in low light.
Battery life is quite good and lasts about a day and half with regular use. The phone comes with a 20W charger in the box, which takes about two hours to charge the smartphone to 100 percent.
Price- Rs.14,999
Motorola Moto G51 Specifications | |
Display | 6.80-inch, 1080×2400 pixels |
Processor | Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ |
RAM | 4GB |
Storage | 64GB |
Battery Capacity | 5000mAh |
Rear Camera | 50MP + 8MP + 2MP |
Front Camera | 13MP |
2. Motorola Moto G31
The Moto G31 tries to fill the shoes of its predecessor the Moto G30 but falls a bit short of expectations. This budget Moto has a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, an AMOLED display, and IPX2 rating for dust and water resistance.
Its unibody design looks quite like that of the Moto G30 and it is made of polycarbonate but does not feel cheap. The new AMOLED display is a vast improvement over the LCD panel on the G30 but features a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate.
There’s a near-stock version of Android 11 along with the usual Moto gestures. Performance is average for a budget smartphone in this price segment, and there are phones that are priced similarly but offer better hardware.
Battery life is good and this phone can last a day and half on a single charge. Daylight photos taken with the primary camera came out fine, but the ultra-wide one performed poorly. Low-light imaging was quite disappointing overall.
Price- Rs.12,999

Rear Camera | 50MP + 8MP + 2MP |
Front Camera | 13MP |
3. Infinix Hot 11S
The Infinix Hot 11S is a gamer-focussed smartphone for those on a tight budget. It offers a high-refresh-rate display that gamers will appreciate, and a decent budget SoC that’s capable of some mid-level gaming.
While the plastic body looks elegant, it has a glossy coating which feels cheap and is a smudge magnet. The display on the other hand is quite good at resisting fingerprints. The large display makes this phone a bit unwieldy, and one-handed use is impossible.
The large display is accompanied by stereo speakers. They work well for gaming and are sufficiently loud. Streaming movies was limited to SD resolution thanks to the limited Widevine L3 certification.
Battery life is excellent, and charging is quick too, which makes this smartphone good for casual users and those seeking a gaming experience on a tight budget.

Daylight camera performance was average but lowlight camera performance was below average. The Redmi 10 Prime offers better performance than its predecessor but does not offer the same value.

These are top 5 Mobiles under 10,000
1. Micromax In 2b
The Micromax In 2b may not be a jack of all trades, but it’s good at a few things, which increases its value over competing smartphones. The phone’s back is made of plastic but is practical in terms of design and does not gather fingerprints and smudges. Its display is sufficiently bright and shows decent colours, keeping in mind its entry-level price tag. In terms of hardware, it goes with the basics, but offers a Unisoc T610 SoC, which has only made it to a few smartphones globally.
Surprisingly, the processor turned out to be quite the performer, doing well not just in regular use, but also for some budget gaming, which is unheard of in the entry-level smartphone segment. With Android 11 and no third-party apps and bloatware, the software experience was quite smooth. Camera performance was strictly average and the same can be said about video. The 5,000mAh battery easily got me one and half days’ worth of use with some gaming, which is quite good. Charging was a bit too slow with the bundled 10W charger, and it took over 3 hours to complete the charge.

The Realme Narzo 30A gets a decently big 6.5-inch display with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. It has the SIM tray on the left side of the frame and has two Nano-SIM slots and a dedicated slot for storage expansion. The Narzo 30A tips the scales at 207g and is noticeably heavy since packs in a big 6,000mAh battery.
You get a 18W charger which is a neat addition. The Realme Narzo 30A is available in two colour options: Lazer Black and Lazer Blue. You get a more powerful MediaTek Helio G85 SoC that’s paired with either 3GB or 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, depending on which variant you choose. These variants are paired with 32GB and 64GB of storage respectively. Storage is expandable further upto 256GB using a microSD card.
If this is what your typical usage pattern looks like, then the Narzo 30A should not disappoint. The rear-mounted fingerprint scanner was quick at authentication, and face recognition too did not need more than a single attempt to unlock the smartphone. The Realme Narzo 30A sports a 13-megapixel primary camera and a monochrome portrait camera with an unspecified resolution. At the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The rear camera performance was average in most shooting conditions but the phone did deliver good selfies.

The Moto E7 Plus has a dual-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It delivers good camera performance in daylight but the performance is average in lowlight. The dedicated light mode does a much better job in low light.
The Moto E7 Plus packs in a 5,000mAh battery and has a Micro-USB port. It does not have support for fast-charging and gets a 10W charger in the box, which is slow to charge the phone completely. Motorola ships the phone with Andorid 10 with its custom My UX UI on top. The UI is very minimalistic and has only useful features loaded on top.
