The 17-year-old Mexican NASCAR driver Federico Gutierrez has died subsequent to being engaged with a fender bender with his more established sibling and individual driver Max Gutierrez on Sunday.
His brother Max, a professional Mexican racing driver and fellow NASCAR star, sustained injuries and is currently being treated in a local hospital.

Federico Gutierrez Nascar Accident
The motorsport community is mourning the loss of aspiring racing driver Federico Gutierrez. Federico lost his life after a car accident outside of Mexico City on Sunday, January 29.
His brother Max, a professional Mexican racing driver and fellow NASCAR star, sustained injuries and is currently being treated in a local hospital.
An unidentified 80-year-old man was driving the truck and accompanied by his 65-year-old wife. Their names were not released. One of them was also injured and required evacuation by helicopter to a hospital in Mexico City.
A 41-year-old woman, who was also initially trapped in the truck, was transferred by ambulance to the Valle de Bravo General Hospital.
As of Monday morning, the conditions of those in the truck were unknown.

Max Gutiérrez, 20, is an up-and-coming driver who competed in four NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2022 for AM Racing. He also has several ARCA Menards Series starts on his resume, including a victory in 2021 in the ARCA Menards Series East at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway.
Fico Gutiérrez, 17, was a rising star in the Mexico Truck Series. Max Gutiérrez won the 2018 Mexico Truck Series championship.

Brothers Max and Federico Gutiérrez were involved in an automobile accident Sunday in Mexico. Federico, the younger brother known as “Fico,” passed away. Max was airlifted to a Mexico City hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
